The Faculty of Engineering at the University of Aden signed today a joint scientific cooperation agreement with Union Cement Company Limited in the framework of establishing distinguished relations between the two sides in engineering majors, capabilities developing, quality improving and joint work in carrying out the scientific research activities

In his statement during the signing of the agreement, the President of the University of Aden, Dr. Al-Khader Nasser Laswar, said that this agreement will be reflected in positive results based on the common interest in the bilateral relations between the University of Aden and Union Cement Company, which will achieve positive results for the students and the society.

Mr. Fuad Abdul Fattah Rajeh, DCEO of Administrative Affairs at Union Cement Company explained that this agreement is based on the objectives of the company in line with its activities and activating the partnership with the University of Aden to provide opportunities for teachers and students in the rehabilitation and practical application and to contribute with the company in setting the scientific and standards plans for quality as a natural result of the scientific researches

From his part, Dr. Saleh Mohammed Mubarak, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, said that this agreement came in response to the strategic objectives of the College to expand its relations with the active institutions, which aims to develop the company’s products on the one hand and develop the skills of the two agreement parties staff on the other hand to what serve both sides.

The most important articles of the joint scientific cooperation agreement between the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Aden and Union Cement Company includes conducting the scientific researches in the framework of the product to improve the production process and improve the quality, provide technical and engineering consultation and help in addressing technical problems and exchanging experiences. and allow to the faculty members and students to train and do the field training in the production sites and facilitate the process of field visits for the purpose of scientific research, and participate in conferences and seminars specialized in the fields of building materials and the cement industry and the exchange of various scientific versions.

The signing of the agreement was attended by the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and a number of directors of the general and scientific centers of the university and a number of members of the Board of Directors of the company
