Union Cement Company is one of the largest investment companies. The Union Cement plant was established on an area of 8 square meters in Bates / Abyan area. The opening was in May 2010 and represents an important branch of the national economy.

Through the establishment of this giant company hundreds of young people were able to work in it in accordance with the qualifications and specialties needed by the company. Union Cement plant has an annual production capacity estimated at (One million and one hundred thousand tons annually) a daily production capacity of 3600 tons. Problems and Challenges
Since its opening in May 2010, the plant has been subjected to many obstructions, such as the interruption of the vehicles carrying the laborers, as well as the cement trucks, but with Allah grand and the cooperation of the sheikhs and dignitaries of the region and the wisdom of the executive management, they managed to control the matters and move forward and deal rationally with these matters. And after the return of the security and stability to Abyan governorate in 2013, the plant resumed the operation. Return to work in the plant after the events of 2015
After the restoration of the security and stability and the improvement of the security situation in the Abyan governorate, which is the cornerstone of the plant re-operation, Sheikh Mohammed ben Ali Al-Isaiye, Chief Executive Officer of the Board of Directors issued a decision to invite all the plant workers to return to work and start the first day of work on 1 December 2015. The sale began after the coup

The executive management in the plant has combined between the experience and efficiency at the same time, the evidence of that is working in the spirit of one team and the harmony between all the workers of the plant and the full understanding about this special management, which was able in its wisdom and experience to restart the plant in very difficult conditions certified and dependent on Allah first and the plant workers in general
