The main equipment of the plant has been imported from Germany, Japan and Switzerland, and a power plant was provided with a capacity of 16 MW, which is expandable to 32 MW.
Al-Essayi said that the project’s accessories include a residential city, a shopping center, a hotel, a conference and wedding hall, an English learning school, four sports courts, swimming pools and a sports club. Praising the support and care provided by the President of the Republic Ali Abdullah Saleh, which gave positive results through the large investment projects in the governorate.
The governor of Abyan, Eng. Ahmed Al-Maisari, today briefed on the operation of the experimental production of the plant, which is expected to officially open in conjunction with the celebrations of the 20th National Day of the Republic of Yemen on 22 May.
